The Chase HS Forensics team traveled to McPherson to compete in the 2023 McPherson McPheeters Invitational with entries in Duet Acting and Informative Speaking. The Dynamic Duo of Summer Bates and Wren Higgins broke into finals with impressive performances and gave their best performance ever in that final round earning a narrow edge over the leading team and taking a First Place finish! They both qualify for State Championships! This is Wren's second time qualifying for State this year, qualifying earlier in the season with her Dramatic Interpretation piece. Kaiya Higgins narrowly missed breaking into finals with her Informative speech about Emotional Support Animals. We look forward to her continued efforts this month leading up to Regionals. Big thanks to Evy Hoyt for volunteering to come along and judge! It's a GREAT day to be a Kat!!!
Today our K-3rd students got to hang out with some of the Rice County EMTs. This included a story, a tour of the ambulance, and LOTS of answered questions!
